04/04/2011 Session

So yesterday we ended up setting off a nuclear bomb.  It's only a small one apparently, but it still made a pretty big boom.  The computer told us there was an infected computer node in the main Administration block that it needed taking out.  The Administration block is in control of the whole of Brown Sector, so it's pretty heavily shielded.  Was pretty lucky we'd found that nuke in the black market cache last week really, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to even scratch that node!

We came up with a bunch of plans to get the nuke in when we were on the lift back up to the surface.  The lift took a really long time for some reason.  We were gonna try air dropping the nuke from a balloon but we weren't sure if that'd be accurate enough.  In the end we decided to soften up the defences with the two other bombs we found and then fly it in through a window.  That seemed to work out OK, even the bomb we sent in through the sewer tunnels below hit the right target.  That was kinda surprising given that it was delivered by a boat piloted by a hermaphroditic Antonio Banderas sex doll.  Antonio was pretty heroic though, and his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

So anyway, we took out the defences and dropped the nuke.  Then we drove as fast as possible away from that place.  The nuke went off and it took out the Administration tower alright but then Skrood spotted something chasing us on the sensors.  Turned out it was another one of those cyborg super soldiers, but this one was a lot bigger than the ones we've seen before.  The thing was 50 feet tall!  It was catching up to the truck pretty fast, so we shot at it.  I hit it with the plasma gun but that didn't seem to do much.  Then Gav shot it with that weird alien laser pistol we found ages ago.  That definitely did the trick.  Took out a fair bit of the other side of the surface too on the other side of the ship too; hopefully there weren't too many survivors over there.
